No. Horse Trainer Jockey Barr Wgt Pen
1 DANCE HERO Gai Waterhouse J Byrne 2   58.5
2 SPARK OF LIFE Allan Denham M J Cahill 4   58.5
3 HARD TO CATCH Pat Duff B Stewart 9   58.5
4 MITANNI John Wallace S Scriven 6   58.5
5 TELLEM Kevin Kemp S Katsidis 7   58.5
6 PRIMUS John O'Shea G Boss 3   58.5
7 ANWAAR Gai Waterhouse N Rawiller 5   58.5
8 ENTHUSIAST Barry Baldwin K Wharton 1   58.5
9 THE JACKAL Paul St Vincent J Bowditch 8   58.5

Pretty simple stuff here. Spark of Life leads with Dance Hero applying the pressure. Primus can possie up from his good draw, ditto Anwaar who will race just off them while Mitanni can follow him across and get a good trail just off the speed.

Dance Hero and Spark of Life are clearly the class of the race but they are both past their best and not racing well enough for mine.

Primus looks a run or two short while Anwaar should run well but will find at least one better on the day.

Mitanni is a good thing in this for mine. The old boy's flying having recorded 3 wins and 2 seconds in his past 5 carrying 58.5, 60.0, 59.0 & 59.5 in his last 4. He's been freshened up since his dominant last start win at the Gold Coast and has been tuned up for this with a soft trial last week. The speed will suit him down to the ground and on form I think he's well and truly the one to beat. Scriven riding in top-form and will give him every possible chance.

Looks great value and should get the chocolates here.

Yes Torp,

Niconero was the obvious and I backed the favourite too for a very nice collect.

If you believe you hold the title, I will leave no doubt it belongs with me with some outstanding selections in the months ahead.

Only as good as your last tip M/C.

After giving the forum Gilded Venom and now today Niconero surely your title is mine.

Add to that winning the Century Club OMFG I must be the greatest of all time?

LOL

"Lots of horses improve" might be downplaying the outstanding improvement of this horse - running around in a 2 metro-wins race last December and now placing against the #2 ranked turf sprinter in the world (and as a rising 8 year old after 50 odd starts)...amazing stuff...

I say, give it to Roy Chellemi - possibly the most astute trainer going around..
Roy could bring Hotelier to town with him..

Not to get off the topic but seeing as you mentioned that wonderful filly Inf she resumes on Sat in the Gold Coast Guineas and after a great hitout at Doomben today, including a sub 33 last 600, I'd say she has them running scared already :)

Cheers

Wow great tip MediaCentral.

Who is going to win the Goodwood?

Careful Abraham. Can you even say that publicly? Lots of horses improve and it's not like he beat great horses.

Anyone think he can beat Gold Edition & Takeover Target?

A really really easy win. Too easy perhaps? Sprinted straight past some pretty good group one performers and the last 50 metres was a joke. Scriven was quoted as saying that he would have won by 10 if he let him go.

Not wanting to throw any mud, but isn´t the owner a chemist? How could a horse improve that much?

Well done anyway media central, great tip.

Abe

Its a shame but I didn't get on to your tip MC, but I was in the members a Caulfield and the whole place burst out laughing at Scrivens ride and his absolute cheek. It was a real genuine moment of admiration of such a confident ride, and everyone there enjoyed it, and a lot weren't on him. I myself can't remember such a ride from a jock that I can compare! I think he poked his tongue out at my thing, Spark of Life!
I love racing!!!
