been there before but...

PR6 Bass Strait - pity it isn't 1400m but a good draw and fresh legs may see him settle closer - $100 & $26

PR8 Woodbine - $34 & $8.25 - his fresh form last prep was ok - I expect him to place

I don't mind Florida Keys e/w at $20s in race 5 at Flemington.

Had a torrid run in the Wakeful last prep. Won an easy race over the unsuitable 1200m first up beating Saone Et Loire that won another easy race last night.

I was surprised they ran her last week again over 1200m. Had no luck in the run at all, especially in the top half of the straight where it took 200m to get her in a position where she could let down. Despite that she ran home strongly.

Out to 1400m suits better this week. Up against some class but a couple are first up and have bigger fish to fry. With only 9 in the field and $4.50 the place on offer I can see her running into the money.

Good luck all.

May not start rough, but Im using RnS morning line on fri ,early. Here goes

Sr 4 greenback boogie,,won 2 back over 1200, by 5 1/2 lens then was only 2 away in a R'wick Cl3, maybe a touch better grade than this..   Will enjoy this shorter trip... $26 this morning

Sr7 Single Gaze     won at group 1 level 2 runs ago..... Classiest horse in this by a long way and the morning line is $12

Sr8 Sofin last start carried 58 in a group 3 race ,, at Gosford only,,, but Gr3 nevertheless now he goes around in a LR event with the limit weight 53.. EW all day at the advertised $13

Mr8 Terravista   quoted at $11 on R'S morning line,,,    in race where the 3yo are considered the best chance, this horse goes out at $11 ??   madness

If one can win then the day is a good one,, or if 2 could place    G/L all

2 for the night on Friday

MR6 Dandy Gent - I was disappointed last start, although it looked as though he wasn't trying. He got back and plugged on in straight. Out to 2500m, from barrier 1, he surely will race in or near lead. These might be too good for him, but should he reproduce his efforts in the spring, he may be hard to pass $35 & $8.25

SR5 Pennington - $16 & $4.40 - Jay is back on and he should get this mare racing forward and she kicks on strongly - well in against the 3 year olds.

MR1 De Little Engine - I was tempted to add this to the BEST BETS thread as I think this isd a huge EW chance - going back over all his fresh starts, he has run some very good races but usually over shorter trips. One of his good efforts had one D Oliver on board, and now he is back. The trainer needs a big kill as he is probably in financial trouble, and over 1800m, this horse can deliver first up.

MR4 Overshare
MR5 Special Diva - will be hard to overhaul at 1200m
MR6 Fast 'N' Rocking - a big show fresh and this is his best track and fresh distance
MR7 Arod - betting on Waller here
MR8 Tom Melbourne - goes great fresh, and the draw and distance suit

BR8 Timeless Prince - hasn't won for donks, but both runs this time in have been sound - 3rd up stats are ok - trip a shy short but goes ok at this track as long straight suits - recent change of stables is a pineapple - he has beaten and run well in far better company - $18 & $4.80
