One of the many facilities Racing And Sports provides for all users is the ability to access "audio" content. Because of our significant domestic and international presence at the race track and of it, not only are we delivering extensive racing information and technology along with form content, you can avail yourself of a substantial amount of interviews conducted by the Racing And Sports team.

They include discussions with Jockeys, Trainers and Owners through the week, Post-Race interviews, Press conferences at major meetings and also Race Day Previews from our racing staff. All these emanate from racing right around the world.

Original Blog Post:

As a proud South Aussie, I am embarrassed as to what has happened to the once time honoured Adelaide Cup.

First run in 1864, legends of the turf that have won this race must be turning in their grave. Horses such as Rain Lover, Hyperno, Just A Dash. And lets not forget living legend and world's kindest horse - Subzero.

The downgrading of the race from Group 1 to Group 2 in 2007 was the beginning of the end - and yet I still get a public holiday for a donkey race.

SA racing is pretty much done and you could put a fork in it, which is such a shame given it’s history

One metro race track down from 3 – it won’t be long before it goes the same model as the Victorian trots and metro meetings go to Murray Bridge and Gawler (they should have never let Vic Park go) and pocket that cash

Last year’s Goodwood and Sangster were great races, worthy of group 1 status but unfortunately underwritten by a Government that no longer wants to support the industry

We can all argue how narrow minded that is, but it is ultimately it is their money and their decision

Sorry for being so pessimistic

Thanks for that.

Forgot to mention the rescheduling from May to Mad March. Also forgot to mention Lord Reims 3 peat (87,88,89) and that he is buried near the finish line at Morphettville.

Celebrate the fact that it is still a Group 2. It will only get worse as the Prizemoney gap widens with each passing year.

SA has to be careful it doesn't bankrupt itself by paying more prizemoney than it can afford. It must continue to downgrade all its races and pay affortable prizemoney to remain viable.

Trying to match the class of racing in the eastern states, or bridge the prizemoney gap is futile and dangerous. Accept the economic reality and adapt your product accordingly.

the rescheduling back to March, before the Sydney Cup, has robbed it of all decent 2 milers
