Is there any indication of when Gary or that other literary genius, The Parrot, are going to post a stinging reply to what Mr Blake said about Winx.

Perhaps they should mention Highland Reel. He is the answer to everything.

There is an article by Kevin Blake, one of the Parrot's colleagues, released today.

He gives his views about the standard of racing in Australia.

It is a good read if you don't mind a reality check.

Why? In case a half decent horse comes from overseas and knocks her off.

Yeah, have to admit watching that race all I could think was "just don't get injured". And I have no connection to the horse. The risk vs reward would have me making the same decision. Much as I would love to see her win another Cox, the possibility of her breaking down would tamper that dream. Enjoyed the ride.

I can understand the relief that connections must feel now that she has retired in good health esp no injuries
