Grafton: Race 4 @ 2:10pm

Shadow Prince can take the lead from the good draw. WALLANDER benefited from an aggressive ride when winning by five lengths at the Gold Coast last time out. Further improved with Byrne going on and maps to get every chance from a good draw. Matt Dunn has strong chances today and this one leads the charge. AFRICAN ACADEMY was deep the trip when fading into ninth position at Canterbury last start. Seven week freshen here and lands in the hands of Stephen Lee. Prior to last start the horse would be a clear favorite and for good reason. Randwick placed in May and is expected to go well here. Big watch. GORDON'S LEAP was plain last start but win prior had plenty of merit, Will be winding up late. SELECTIONS: Wallander to end the early quaddie.

Kembla Grange: Race 4 @ 1:50pm

Spencer has good early toe. SPENCER is drawn to do less work here. Running well without winning of late and happy to give another chance. Arguably has more upside than these and Shinn a positive booking. FLEETING STRYKE was beaten three lengths in town on resumption. Loves it here and can improve sharply second-up. CHADANA gets to her pet trip of 1400m. Will be ridden quiet from the draw but can run on into the minor money late. SELECTIONS: Spencer gets his opportunity.

Sale: Race 6 @ 3:30pm

ALBERT'S LASS was better at the mile second-up and is an improver who gets his chance fitter and with Callow taking over from the apprentice. SCENSAY won at Moe and then was slow off and did a big job to just miss here this trip. He’s right in it off that peak. NANGAWOOKA didn’t have the best of it here in the same race and is going well enough to play a major hand. LUCKY PADDY and ALI ORPHAN also deserve consideration. SELECTIONS: Open races are the order of the day and this is no exception.# 7 ALBERT’S LASS presents around the 8.00 mark and looks a solid each way go against the more favoured runners.

Dalby: Race 7 @ 4:27pm

INKY BAY was too good resuming at the Gold Coast off a long break. Had won a Doomben trial prior and can go right on with it using the low draw. BRAX improved each run last campaign culminating with the win. Draws out but expect a bold return. COOL STINGER draws the rail and brings strong bush form. Expect it to stand up. SUZY’S ROSE has come back better and has more to give second-up. SELECTIONS: # 3 INKY BAY has good upside and will get favours in the run. Backing to win.

Pinjarra: Race 9 @ 6:20pm

SALON DU CHEVAL won big on debut at the mile and then missed a nose at Ascot over 1800m as favourite. Fitter and keeps Pike and rates to win in lesser company. TECHNICAL LIMIT has a similar form line but fluffed the latest at Belmont with a slow off. Expect a much improved effort and is the danger. MISS MEIKA draws out but is going well enough to make the finish. TRIPLE EXPRESS ditto. SELECTIONS: # 1 Salon Du Cheval has the upside many of these don’t and backing to win.
