Winx Horseform looks primed to take out her third successive Cox Plate (Gr 1, 2040m) in three weeks after taking out her 21st successive win and her 13th Group One victory in brilliant fashion, yet again. She began well yesterday and was then ridden patiently well back in fifth place by Hugh Bowman. She moved up well (with cover) approaching the home turn, cruised to the lead at the 300m and then raced away to score effortlessly by six and a half lengths.

Irish-bred import Ventura Storm Horseform raced back in third place, behind quite a good tempo before improving nearing the home turn. He went to second at the 300m and then fought on well for a distant second, putting up a promising performance at his fourth Australian start.

Dual Group One winner Humidor raced back in second last place in the seven-horse field, got to fifth (racing ungenerously and hanging a bit) at the 300m and then battled on to take third, without looking dangerous at any stage.
