Trainer Paul Facoory Looking To Build On Winning Start

Former Toowoomba trainer Paul Facoory made an immediate impact in Canberra when his first local runner — Swindlers Miss — delivered first-up on the Acton.

Tomorrow (Friday) Facoory will have four runners engaged in the capital including interesting newcomer — Uno That — in the Wardrobe World Maiden (Race 5).

Uno That ran second to Single Gaze in a recent trial — and is a half brother to Uno Best who won six races for Facoory.

Facoory backs up Swindlers Miss in the Infinite Joinery BM67 (Race 7) and she couldn’t have been more impressive winning at the last meeting when she burst through late overcoming a check.

She will get Rachel Hunt’s 1.5kg claim and looks a strong winning hope.

Quite Magical also resumed for Facoory at the last meeting and will be better for the run. She lines up in the Capital Veneering BM55 (Race 6) and comes off an inside gate with Jeff Penza sticking.

She’s a second-up winner who rates well for this and expect sharp improvement.

Facoory’s other runner is — Nicc’s Poet — who lines up off a wide gate in the Benchmarc Kitchens/Joinery Maiden (Race 4).

He caught the eye coming hard from the back at his first run in Canberra and he looks can make the frame with a touch of luck from the draw and Nick Souquet is the new rider.
