Yarraman Park Tibbie Stakes FM , 1400m
Race Synopsis: Top weight Zanbagh, who was having her third run this preparation, put up a really strong effort in winning here, her fourth win at Group level. She went forward (deep) from her outside barrier (15) and travelled well in third place (but wide, without cover). She responded nicely from the 200m, hit the front at the 100m and went on to win impressively despite a wide trip under a well-rated Hugh Bowman ride. Perfect Rhyme raced back in eighth place, improved (deep) nearing the 600m, challenged at the 150m and kept fighting gamely for second, putting up a smart effort. Hetty Heights raced in tenth place, fanned deep on turning for home and kept running on well (wide out) to take a good third. Elle Lou was back in 12th place approaching the home turn, went wide on straightening and then ran on well (widest of all) for (1.5 lengths) fourth. The favourite Imposing Lass raced outside the leader (her stablemate Lubiton), briefly looked a threat at the 200m and then battled on quite well for (2.2 lengths) fifth.
