Race Synopsis: Backing up after seven days, Shoreham caught many by surprise when scoring just his fifth win (third stakes) in 60 starts with a tenacious win here. The eight-year-old dropped back early to be second last (rails) and passing the 1200m was equal last. Jockey Daniel Moor elected to remain next to the fence all the way until the last corner creeping ever closer to the leaders, then edging out to challenge. Into the straight he went after the leader and gradually wore him down, getting the upper hand inside the 50m and having the best part of a length to spare at the line. Favourite Odeon took on the pacemaker at the 500m, took over at the top of the straight and attempted to break clear. He led until the 100m but was outgunned to the line yet a good second. Life Less Ordinary turned in four wide to be a handy third and kept on well to the line for third from Berisha who nutted Fastnet Dragon late, right on the line for fourth.
