2018 Taj Rossi Series Final Listed July 7 - Flemington

Good ‘N’ Fast wins 2018 Taj Rossi Series Final Listed $120,000 at Flemington (VIC), 1600m.

Promising Lindsay Park-trained colt Good 'N' Fast Horseform  followed his impressive win, at his second race start, in winning a 2YO Open Handicap (1400m) at this track on 23 June with another very good win, advancing to Listed class over 1600m here.

He was ridden quietly and settled nicely in seventh place, behind a moderate tempo, before moving up well on straightening. He hit the front at the 100m and finished a bit too well in the sprint home for a good win.

Scottish Rogue Horseform  settled in sixth place, one off the rails, came with a well-timed bid on passing the 300m, took the lead at the shortly afterwards and then fought gamely for a very good second.

The Team Corstens-trained filly Goldifox Horseform raced back in eighth place on the rails, was badly hindered in looking for clear running on turning for home and then ran on nicely over the latter stages for a good third without looking likely to trouble the first pair.
