Shortly after being given the all-clear to start in the Blamey Stakes, Best Of Days Horseform has had his campaign shut down by a bleeding attack.

The Godolphin horse went to Sandown on Thursday for the second of two enforced jump-outs after staying in the barriers in the Futurity Stakes at Caulfield last Saturday.

He had passed the first test on Wednesday and successfully completed the second before the bleed was discovered.

Trainer James Cummings Horseform reported the incident to stewards and the Group One winner of the Cantala Stakes (Kennedy Mile) will now serve a mandatory three-month ban.

"It's a great shame as he's such a talented galloper who was in great shape to continue a big autumn campaign," Cummings said on Godolphin's Twitter account.

"He will have a good rest back home and hopefully he will get his chance to repeat his spring carnival feats from last year when winning the Group One Kennedy Mile."

Jockey Brad Rawiller Horseform will now have to wait until next week to make his comeback from a serious neck injury.
