The pride of Tasmanian racing,Mystic Journey Horseform , will be out to cap her memorable three-year-old season in the inaugural $5 million All-Star Mile, in which victory would take her career earnings to more than $3.25 million.

Not bad for a filly who cost $11,000 as a yearling and who has already amassed just over $1 million with nine wins from 12 starts.

Mystic Journey gave her trainer Adam Trinder Horseform r his first Group One win in the Australian Guineas two weeks ago, her main autumn goal.

Trinder says having Mystic Journey secure a spot as one of four wild cards into Saturday's rich race is a bonus.

Mystic Journey arrived back in Melbourne early on Friday after an overnight ferry trip from Tasmania and Trinder says his home state is getting behind the rising star.

"She is really doing Tasmania proud," Trinder said.

"A lot of people are getting behind her which is really pleasing to see because racing in Tasmania ... probably the public struggle to connect with it at times. But I feel everyone is really connecting with this filly and she's bringing racing back to the people. And she is doing a terribly good job of it.

"Our major assignment was the Group One a fortnight ago so we step into this race and we're just able to enjoy it.

"She's in really good form and in really good order. So win, lose or draw she's going to go out there and run really well for us.

"She has never disappointed us in the past so I don't see this assignment as being any different."

One person who will definitely be cheering Mystic Journey is Damien Murnane who voted for Moss 'n' Dale in the All-Star Mile poll before being selected in the second chance draw to be wild card Mystic Journey's 'owner-ambassador' for the race.

Each of the 14 runners has one All-Star Mile owner-ambassador who will share in $500,000, with the winner to get $250,000.

"I'm going to be nervous all day," Murnane said.

"The way I'm looking at it, all the horses have got a chance and you never know what happens on the day."

Mystic Journey's real owner is Wayne Roser who has been inundated with offers.

"There's been plenty of interest to buy her," Trinder said.

"A lot of the studs have been circling around with very lucrative offers to race 49 per cent of her. But Wayne Roser, who owns her, he races all his horses in sole ownership bar a few that he races with myself.

"So he's more content just to keep her for himself and enjoy her and that's the way that it will continue on."
