Gerald Ryan’s impressive pair Trapeze Artist and Menari and the high class import Sarrasin are among notable spring prospects entered for Rosehill barrier trials on Tuesday.

Trapeze Artist won the G3 Black Opal Stakes in Canberra in the autumn before finishing sixth in the G1 Golden Slipper Stakes at Rosehill and third in the G1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Randwick.

Trapeze Artist Horseform is entered for the sixth heat of the Rosehill trials over 900 metres while Menari Horseform goes over the same distance in heat seven.

Both rising three-year-olds are being prepared for a possible tilt at the G1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) at Rosehill in September.

However Ryan is considering running Menari first-up in the G2 Premiere Stakes with a view to getting the million dollar colt a start in The Everest.

Menari ran fourth in the Golden Slipper Stakes but was plagued by heavy tracks during his autumn preparation.

The highly-regarded import Sarrasin Horseform is also listed to trial over 900m at Rosehill tomorrow in his first appearance for the Chris Waller stable.

He was a member of the Lee and Anthony Freedman team when he had his first start in Australia when an eye catching third in the G2 Villiers Stakes (1600m) at Randwick in December.

The son of Monsun was formerly trained in France by Andre Fabre where he won two of his first five starts.

Other Rosehill trial entries include the David Payne-trained The Mighty Fed Horseform, who won two of his three starts in his first campaign.

At Newcastle trainer Kris Lees has entered his multiple G1 winner Le Romain and G3 winner Invincible Gem for Tuesday trials at Broadmeadow.

Invincible Gem Horseform ran fourth in an 845m Wyong barrier trial on July 5 and is entered in heat one over 1000 metres on Tuesday alongside new stablemate Villa Carlotta Horseform, who was formerly trained by James Cummings. Le Romain Horseform will also be having his second barrier trial this preparation.

Lees has 36 horses entered across 14 barrier trials on Tuesday.
