Today’s Horse Racing Tips – May 17

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on May 17.

Five Australian TAB meetings are held today at Kembla Grange, Kilmore, Pakenham, Northam and Cairns.

Kembla Grange: Race 7 @ 3:55pm

Mile event which looks to be lacking early pace. SEINE NET has placed in each of her two runs back from a spell over sprint trips at Wyong and Newcastle. Has a real sense of timing about her third up and out to the mile. NIKKAS 'N' A TWIST has turned a corner since having the Blinkers applied two back. Won last start at Newcastle. SWISS was always well back last start at Canterbury. Better suited stepping up in trip and dropping in grade. SELECTIONS: Keen on #3 Seine Net from #2 and #10.

Kilmore: Race 8 @ 4:00pm

SALTY KISSES has been okay since the Maiden win and peaks for this. Meech will cross from the tricky gate and the filly rates to win. DIVINE RED resumes off the Maiden win and goes well fresh. Has trialled and will be ready to go. FULL REWARD wasn’t far away the latest and is in the mix with the 4kg claimer using the low gate. ZAMPERINI next best. SELECTIONS: Expecting # 3 Salty Kisses to have the edge over Divine Red.

Northam: Race 7 @ 6:45pm (AEST)

MACROY has been rock solid in all three starts this time in and should be right at her peak racing fourth up. Sure to appreciate the drop back in grade and has drawn to get a lovely run from the inside draw. Whiting sticks and she should prove very hard to beat. RAMRUEY possesses just the sole win to his name from 12 starts, but is rarely far away and has to be included in the main chances. The booking of Kirby a big plus. ANOTHER STORY the next in line despite the wide draw. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #5 Macroy back in this grade.

Pakenham: Race 6 @ 8:30pm

YULONG YONGXING resumes off a trial win for Ciaron Maher and Walker rides first time for the yard. Is ex-Weir and has won 2/2 first-up and has preformed well in stronger. Has had a long time away but expect him to be wound up. FLASH CASH also resumes and will go close at best. Goes well fresh and gets the blinkers again. APPALACHIAN ANNIE is building well and the 3kg claim brings her into it. FIGHT FOR VICTORY and SILKSTONE also deserve consideration. SELECTION: # 3 Yulong Yongxing can win but want to see him positive in the market neared to post time.
