Seymour: Race 8 @ 3:50pm

Bush Flight and La Veuve from the middle of the line will press for early honours, followed in the run by Effortless Power and Rustic Debutante. CUBBY improved sharply last start when second up from a nine-week break, racing wide but still coming late to just miss over 1170m at Wangaratta. Drawn a lot better today and did win at her only attempt at this distance. COLUMBIA returned to form last start when a tough runner up over 1400m at Wangaratta after travelling up on the pace. Very fit gelding who gets some nice weight relief today after the claim. TOORAK MISS only wound up when the race was all over last start over 1200m at the Pakenham synthetic, clocking-in 6th in a BM64. Fitter today and down a little in class so ready to show her best. The consistent SIR NEMO has a good record at this distance and is sure to play a role. SELECTIONS: #4 Cubby is ideally placed. Back her to win and then in exotics with Columbia, Toorak Miss, Sir Nemo and Effortless Power.

$2.00 is Cubby’s current price.

With Ladbrokes Odds Boost however, $2.20 is available.

Hobart: Race 3 @ 2:13pm

Miss Smith and Gee Gee Musicmaker are the speed. MISS SMITH has placed both runs back and should be winning with extra fitness and the advantage of the rail. KANDAHAR resumes off a solid trial and did enough last campaign to suggest he’s the danger. WORDS IN MOTION looked in need of it FU but has placed 2U and has more to give. Gee Gee Musicmaker can also improve. SELECTIONS: Expecting #7 Miss Smith to have a clear edge from #1 and #4.

Strathalbyn: Race 4 @ 3:20pm (AEDT)

Pace even with Svetski and Spirited Match taking up the running. Handy mare HIDDEN FORTUNE looks very well placed here to return to winning form. Ran on well in this grade two back then raced on the speed and fought on strongly in much tougher grade in town last time. Up in weight but looks hard to beat here on latest effort. INNESTON was well held last start but plenty went wrong on the day and may pay to forget run. Was a winner this grade the start prior and will be hard to hold out here. NEVER WITHOUT YOU won here this grade two back then won again in easier grade latest. Drops in weight after the claim and should run well again. WICKED RHYTHM can run well fresh while IMPORTANT can do better. SELECTIONS: #4 Hidden Fortune will be hard to beat on latest run from #6, #2 and #3.

Coonamble: Race 7 @ 4:39pm

Choice Larga from the middle of the line should take it up. Feature race of the afternoon the Coonamble Cup. CHOICE LARGA hasn't been disgraced at Rosehill his past couple. He hasn't won for some time now but should appreciate the drop back in grade. Senior rider goes on and he looks set to peak up to the mile. PRESENT SENSE gained confidence with a win at the Picnics last start. Obviously harder but he did perform well in this grade prior to that. MISHANI SCOUT is not without a chance whilst SOMETHING BORROWED loves this trip. SELECTIONS: #5 Choice Larga for the win #6 and #2.
