A winner of six of his 18 starts, Home Of The Brave Horseform arrived in Australia rated 119 by Timeform , a figure which will certainly see him more than competitive during the Spring.

Past success stories Contributer Horseform (118+) and Hartnell Horseform (114) showed marked improvement when transferred to Australia, Contributer rounded out his career rated 124, while Hartnell returned a career peak of 128 in the 2016 Group 1 Turnbull Stakes [2000m].

Whether Home Of The Brave can make similar improvement remains to be seen, however his first official trial suggests he has acclimatised well to his new surroundings.

Past the line was where he most impressive and he appears well on track for a strong Australian debut.

He recorded the quickest last 600m of the morning, though it should be no real surprise, he is a fast/talented horse.

On Timeform ratings he had a gentleman's 4.5L on his nearest rival in Monday's trial.

Unlike both Contributer and Hartnell, he is bred to be a sprinter and was only seen twice beyond 1400m in the UK.

Unraced since November last year, he is likely to have another trial before kicking off his campaign next month.

A race like the Group 1 Rupert Clarke Stakes would be an ideal target pending he is given his chance by the handicapper.
