Richard Fahey readies strong team for Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot

Richard Fahey is set to be triple-handed in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday with Cosmic Law, Ninetythreetwenty and Vange all intended runners.

The Musley Bank handler believes all three deserve their chance in the Group Two for juveniles over six furlongs.

“I’ve entered three horses who are probably entitled to be there,” he told At The Races.

“We’ve got Ninetythreetwenty who has run twice and won twice, Cosmic Law who won at Epsom and Vange who trotted up at Chester.

“They are all entitled to an entry and they will run if they get in. I’m sure they will.

“They have a shown a decent level of form to get in the Coventry and it will be a tough race.

“The form is there for all three to have a go so we’ll give it a shot.”

Fahey could also have three runners in the Wokingham Handicap on Saturday week.

He has four who look like making the cut for the six-furlong cavalry charge, but has already all but ruled out Kimberella.

“As we stand now we have got four that will definitely get in but I’d say maybe Kimberella, I can’t see he can win a Wokingham off a mark of 109,” said Fahey.

“I’ll speak to the owner, but I’d say he probably won’t go, but we’ll run Growl, Mr Lupton and George Bowen.

“We’ll see how we get on. Hopefully, one will be drawn on the right side.”
