Although failing to remain unbeaten two starts back, Daniel Moor took luck completely out of the equation last start, when electing to lead on the son of Sebring.

Stepping up to the mile for just the second time in his career, Heliosphere was simply too good, winning easily by a length and a half.

Formerly trained by Gerald Ryan, Heliosphere Horseform  displayed above average ability in Australia, placing in four of his five attempts.

On debut he finished fourth behind Group 1 winner Kementari Horseform  before breaking his maiden status at Warwick Farm over the mile.

Rock solid in three subsequent performances, he came over to Singapore rated 96 by Timeform , a figure that would see him very competitive.

Off the scene for close to a year (358 days), Heliosphere really impressed in his Singapore debut when too strong late over 1200m.

Stepped up to 1400m at his next outing, Heliosphere only went down narrowly, though he never appeared comfortable.

Improving two pounds last start, Heliosphere returned a Timeform rating of 84, indicating he is on track to reach his previous peak achieved in Australia.

Now unbeaten beyond 1400m, Heliosphere gives the impression he will be even better when tried over further and is now likely to be set for the Group 1 Singapore Derby [1800m] in July.

His versatility leaves him in good stead and suspect Moor will look to lead from the wide draw this evening.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, he sits clear of his nearest rival and with further improvement expected, he should prove very hard to beat.

The Hideyuki Takaoka trained Star Jack Horseform  stuck on well to finish third behind the former last start and looms as a major threat racing second up.

A noted performer on the turf track, Star Jack has featured second up previously and has drawn to get a lovely run for Marc Lerner.

Rates well down in the weights and has to be respected.

The Shane Baertschiger trained Mikki Joy Horseform  failed to fire in his Singapore debut, but has since been back to the trials and remains under strong notice.

Ridden by John Powell, Mikki Joy won his trial by 3.25L and is certainly more than capable on his prior best form from Japan.

Drawn a touch awkwardly, but still shapes as one of the major players.

Of the rest the Leslie Khoo trained Claudia'S Beauty Horseform  appears the next in line.

Not seen since finishing ninth in the Group 1 Singapore Gold Cup [2000m], she is more than capable and has to be given some chance.

Good luck and happy punting.
