Chris Scott to lead international rules

Geelong coach Chris Scott will replace Hawthorn's Alastair Clarkson as Australia's international rules coach.

Geelong coach Chris Scott will lead Australia's international rules side against Ireland later this year, replacing Alastair Clarkson.

Scott had served as an assistant under Hawthorn coach Clarkson during the past two series.

Fremantle coach Ross Lyon and North Melbourne's Brad Scott will serve on the coaching panel, with the Scott twins to work alongside each other for the first time since their playing days at Brisbane.

After a one-year hiatus, the series will resume for two Tests in Australia in November, with the dates and locations yet to be determined.

The squad, to be comprised of All-Australian players, will be named after the AFL finals.
