Preview of Power-Bulldogs AFL clash

Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs open round 13 in the AFL with a Thursday night match.

PREVIEW OF PORT ADELAIDE-WESTERN BULLDOGS AFL MATCH:

Head to Head: Power 14 Bulldogs 13 Drawn 0

Last clash: Round 22, 2017 - Power 14.12 (96) bt Bulldogs 11.13 (79) in Ballarat

William Hill: Power $1.12 Bulldogs $6.50

Star recruit Jack Watts is the big omission among three changes for Port. While they're in a solid block of form, highlighted by last Friday's grinding win over Richmond, the Power are also coming off a six-day break and the Bulldogs have had their bye. It's also crunch time for the Dogs, who are on a three-game losing streak and three wins behind the eighth-placed Power. An upset win would give the Bulldogs a faint pulse. And it would be a triumph - Port have won four of their five home matches this season, while the Bulldogs have only one win from five visits to Adelaide Oval. The loss of veteran Dale Morris (knee) is a blow to their defence. The Dogs have made four changes, three of them forced, with Matt Suckling also injured and Mitch Wallis leading the returns.

Key: Who will kick the goals for the Dogs? The Bulldogs have not passed 10 goals in their past three matches and their average score this season is a paltry 69 points.

Tip: Power by 30 points
