Starc and O'Keefe to miss Bangladesh tour

Australia’s injured Mitchell Starc will miss the test series in Bangladesh while spinner Steve O'Keefe will give way to fellow left-arm spinner Ashton Agar.

According to the physio David Beakely, Starc has not recovered from the stress fracture to his foot as he would have liked and is in for a well-deserved brake.

Also according to Beakely, Starc will go on a break with the intention of returning for the one day series in India in September and will also look forward to the opportunity to play in the upcoming Ashes.

Stark has faced a string of injuries in recent times and has also undergone major ankle surgery in 2015.

The selectors are bound to add another paceman to the squad leaving for Bangladesh as a replacement for Starc.

Meanwhile spinner O'Keefe's international career is on the balance with selectors giving out a clear message that the 32-year old is performing below par despite his top role in Aussies’ break through test win in India recently.

Left-arm spinner Ashton Agar, will replace O'Keefe with the chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns believing it is the right decision for the team.
