Sydney to face Perth in W-League decider

Sydney FC will face Perth in next weekend's W-League grand final with both teams winning semi-finals on the road.

W-LEAGUE GRAND FINAL AT A GLANCE:

* Sydney v Perth, Venue and date TBA on Monday

* Head-to-head: Sydney 10 wins, Perth 9 wins, no draws

* Grand final record: Sydney: played five, won two. Perth: played two, won none.

* This season: Perth 2 bt Sydney 1 at nib Stadium, Perth on December 21

KEYS TO THE MATCH:

* WILL SAM KERR FIRE AGAIN?

The W-League's star attraction and top scorer was devastating on Sunday against Melbourne Victory, scoring a hat-trick as the Glory claimed a 4-2 extra-time win over the premiers. Kerr scored twice in the Glory's 2-1 win over her old club Sydney in December and is the player the Sky Blues must stop to be any chance.

* LISA DE VANNA'S FITNESS

The veteran forward missed Sydney's semi-final win over Brisbane after picking up a knee knock last week against Melbourne City. Coach Ante Juric is confident the 34-year-old will be available and he'll be desperate to have her big-game experience at his disposal for the hosts.

* FOORD TO DRIVE SYDNEY TO TITLE?

While Sam Kerr stole the headlines, her Matildas teammate Caitlin Foord is enjoying a great season for Sydney FC. The striker's goal against Brisbane was her sixth this season against the Roar and 10th overall. Perth's defence will be wary of the 24-year-old's eye for a finish.

* REDEMPTION OR HISTORY

Sydney FC will be desperate to redeem themselves after last year's grand final defeat to Melbourne City while Perth are chasing the club's first championship in the A-League/W-League era. Those motivating factors will play a huge part in each team's build-up.

* TRAVEL FACTOR

While the venue won't be determined until Monday, it's going to be in Sydney meaning Perth face two cross-country trips in a week on their path to the championship. After a draining 120 minutes on Sunday in Melbourne, fatigue might be a big factor for the Glory next week in Sydney.
