Western Sydney Wanderers have signed teen striker Abraham Majok for the next two A-League seasons.

The 18-year-old, who was born in a refugee camp in Kenya to South Sudanese parents, picked up the sport at the age of seven, only two years after moving to Australia with his mother, grandmother and nine siblings.

He started with Spirit FC before moving to Mt Druitt Rangers where he became a first team regular before joining the Wanderers' youth league team.

Majok made one A-League appearance this past season and also played twice in the AFC Champions League.

He described his signing as one of his proudest moments.

"It means everything to be honest," Majok said on Friday.

"I've wanted this for so long and for it to finally happen is just a dream come true. I couldn't be any more grateful than I am.

"For me to jump from where I was playing to being here, I'm really grateful for that and I thank my family for pushing me and for giving me this opportunity that I have today."
