One Satono yes, one Satono no.
Both started favourite in their respective races but at Nakayama Satono Ares was beaten and in Hanshin Satono Diamond won.
Nakayama saw the running of the G2 Spring Stakes, the prep for the 2000 Guineas, and Satono Ares was favourite on 3.2, but it was not to be. The winner was Win Bright, a son of Stay Gold starting at 8.1 with Outliers by Victoire Pisa on 3.5 second and Platina Voice 19/3 third. Satono Ares and Tricolore Blue were the next home.
At Hanshin with the older horses over the 3000m Satono Diamond has possibly earned himself a trip to France for the Arc. He finished 1 1/2 lengths in front of Cheval Grand with Tosen Basil third.
