Two G2s in Japan on Sunday
Nakayama hosts the Spring Stakes over 1800m for the 3yo and Hanshin their Daishoten over 3000m for the older horses.
Satono Ares is a Deep Impact out of a Danehill mare who has won his last two outings both over 1600m but with the impression that another 200m would not be a problem. Monde Can Know is by Kinshasa no Kiseki. He ran second to Satono Ares in the Asahi Hai Futurity which is good form. Tricolore Bleu is by Stay Gold and will be ridden by Mirco Demuro.
At Hanshin the Daishoten over 3000m can often produce a possible Melbourne Cup runner. This year's edition includes Satono Diamond, with Christophe Lemaire on board, Cheval Grand who won this last year and then won the Copa Republica Argentina, and One And Only, the former Derby winner who looked to be showing an improvement last start and he's got Yutaka Take riding.
