Vale Dori wins Santa Margarita
Rafael Bejerano steered the Argentinian-bred Vale Dori to victory at Santa Anita on Saturday.
She is now with Bob Baffert, and managed to outrun her previous conqueror Finest City who had started favourite at 8/5. Autumn Flower was third of the 8 horses involved.
At Gulfstream Park the Gr 2 Inside Information was a big shock when odds-on favourite Curlin's Approval could only finish 5th. Distinta at 12/1 was the winner with Wheatfield at 20/1 a half length behind in second and Dearest a head further back in third.
And another odds-on fav went down in the Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn Park when Terra Promess could do no better than 5th. Streamline won at 12/1 with Eskinformoney a length away second.
Similar story in the Rebel with favourite American Anthem not on the board - the win went to Malagacy who will probably continue to the Arkansas Derby, by a margin of 2 lengths to Sonneteer, a maiden starting at 112/1, and Untrapped third, Petrov fourth.
