O’Lonera looks a really promising stayer, following his debut fourth in a Three-Year-Old Maiden (1400m) at Ballarat on 2 November with a very easy win, stepping up to 1850m here. He settled nicely in second last place in the eight-horse field before improving (deep) on passing the 600m. He went to the front on straightening and then raced right away, being eased nearing the post to score impressively.
