The Lee and Anthony Freedman-trained filly Rock Giselle put up a promising performance in winning here, her first win in five starts after placings in two runs since resuming. A daughter of the 2005 AJC Australian Oaks (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Dizelle (Zabelle), she was slowly away and settled back in ninth place, one off the rails, before fanning deep nearing the home turn. She then sprinted well, took the lead at the 100m and went on to score comfortably, looking suited to further.
