TRIAL POINTERS

ROSEHILL October 22: THE FACE is a known speedster and he showed all his pace to win the fastest 900m heat of the morning by an unchallenged 3.5 lengths (52.55; 33.36).

HAWKESBURY October 18 : The closing effort of the import LACKEEN in his 1250m heat to finish third from well off the pace really took the eye. His first Australian win should come his way soon. MUNITIONS won his heat over 1000m in moderate time (60.50/33.88). The unraced maiden heat winner FIRST PEOPLES (59.64; 34.96) went quicker having only his second trial and looked sharp winning by 2.3 lengths. TRANSFORMATION (60.82; 34.83), an Exceed And Excel 3YO, ran past the leaders in his 1000m maiden heat under a quiet ride and looks to have come on from his three unplaced starts in Victoria last season.

RANDWICK October 19: KOONDEEMAN, a maiden runner, looks capable of picking up a race after having the measure of some better performed rivals in an open heat over 1200m (74.11; 34.65). LILY ELSIE impressed winning the fastest maiden heat win over 1045m (62.73; 35.13). There was also plenty of merit in the maiden heat win by BARTOSELLI (43.70; 33.33).

WARWICK FARM October 15: Weather conditions forced these trials scheduled for the turf tracks to be transferred to the Polytrack. The Chris Waller-trained LINA'S HERO was dominant in his 740m heat. The time was slow (44.67; 34.20) but he was working easily within himself from the jump and looks in a good a place heading into a new preparation.

ROSEHILL October 11: A noted effort in the 900m heats was BORN A KING, an imported Frankel 5YO with one win from six starts in the UK who was having his first Australian trial.

ROSEHILL September 28: Second trial by talented mare BLAZING MISS has her in great shape for a bold first-up showing in a suitable sprint, preferably for her own sex. She was never off the bit controlling her 800m heat from the front for a soft win that could have seen her run faster time (46.98; 33.17) if pressured.
