Racing and Sports analysts Jaike Altieri, Trent Crebbin and Ethan Perry bring the punters a Saturday multi-bet featuring racing from around the country.
After coming into last weekend with plenty of confidence, the team was quickly flattened by the below-average performance of Comme Bella Fille at Randwick, sending us tumbling out of the multi before we'd even begun.
What followed wasn't much better, with our other two legs failing to come through, bringing up another week of fails across the board.
We headed back to the drawing board this week and sourced plenty of inspiration to pump ourselves up heading into this weekend, with another double figure multi ready to go!
Doomben Race 2 Number 4 FAST TALKING - Win ($2.80, Ladbrokes)
This gelding is in great form and just found Barade a shade strong last start. He meets him 1.5kg better at the weights today, and importantly, loves wet tracks. With plenty of rain predicted he'll get conditions to suit and will take all the running down.
Randwick Race 4 Number 5 EASY SINGLE - Win ($3.10)
This four-year-old didn't have the best of luck last time out when beaten 2.6L over this course and distance, but drops 6kg from that most recent effort. The Wizard, William Pike hops aboard and he should be able to land in a prominent position from barrier 3. He's better than the horses he's weighted around, and the horses he's equal to in ability, he has the fitness edge. Expecting him to come up trumps.
Doomben Race 7 Number 11 TAREX - Win ($2.05)
Tarex is a promising 3YO gelding who was a first-up winner at this track, before finishing second in his next two runs behind a smart one in Majestic Colour – the Winx Guineas winner. He had to go back from a wide draw last time in the Winx Guineas and came with a strong run home passing all but the winner with relative ease. Drawn to settle a lot closer this time and we see him stalking the speed and exploding in the straight.
