The Young Years was only plain through the line in her past two starts and continually missing the kick. Happy to take on with others in the race bringing superior last start ratings into the race.
The Peter & Paul Snowden-trained Staroshka appeared to be a limited commodity in his first preparation and the recent Flemington jumpout also looked basic. Fun Enuff on top, who jumped out at Cranbourne under a vice-like grip.
I would be surprised if one of Mauricio, Stepping High or Blue Chip isn't winning this race. Mauricio has chased three handy ones in three career starts, Stepping High was solid first-up and Blue Chip Girl is limited but gets Stackhouse, a good map and a set of blinkers on.
Lonrik comes through a poor form race, 37-days between runs, an apprentice jockey on board and a poor map.
HARNESS
Taking on James Herbertson is a tough caper but I am against Final Bow tonight due to the map. I cant see it finding the top as Alcatraz Girl and Glenn Bull will be doing its utmost to hold that position. As such it will have to work at some point to win and its last 2 runs have been plain when unable to lead.
