I felt this horse had every chance last start and I am doubtful he is looking for the step up in distance. He was a big SP last start and main danger Eyeque comes through the same race who did have some issues when entering the straight however when he rebalanced really hit the line strongly suggesting the step up in trip will be perfect and I can't see Jumeriah Beach finishing in front of this runner again under the circumstances.

Flemington: Race 8; #1 Tropical Squall  

I have serious queries on Tropical Squall running 2500m. Yes she had to work early last start over 2000m but I think being on that quick speed is one of her better attributes and she was still weak late. If she's winning then I'm losing. Backing Zardozi and something each-way Basilinna and Aethelflaed.

GREYHOUNDS

Albion Park: Race 4; #4 Hilltop Star 

Hilltop Star appears to be vulnerable in the first event due to a three day back up. The son of Hooked On Scotch has put in his best work when being able to find the front under his own steam. He jumped ordinarily on Monday night and was quickly taken out of the contest. The quick backup could take the freshness out of his legs and from the box he is going to need to be faultless. Ultra Hannah and Speed Zone outside him have speed and want to find the rails which could lead to a messy first turn.

HARNESS

Yarra Valley: Race 3; #10 Shoobees Spirit 

Shoobees Spirit is a consistent type but the barrier/map is a worry today. He's not a horse who can do a lot of work in the run, so he'll need a fair bit of luck from the #10 barrier.
