Only fair through the line last start in an average overall rating, now has to step up to metro level and 1500m.
Rosehill: Race 6; #8 The Englishman
Generally gets back in the run and with the rail out 7m around Rosehill I feel this race sets up poorly for him.
Given a 10/10 ride last start to get to the right part of the track after stepping slow. This is harder – I didn't mark her favourite.
Drawn to be wide and rear. Looks too short for mine.
GREYHOUNDS
Rockhampton: Race 6; #6 Here Wolfe
Here Wolfe appears vulnerable first-up for two months and has many important factors against him.
The son of Sennachie is having his first start for new trainer Brad Belford after finishing down the track at Albion Park appearing to succumb to an injury. All of his form is over the 520m at Albion Park and he is a notoriously poor beginner. This will most likely be his first look at the Rockhampton circuit and he's drawn awful out wide with speed all around him. He is likely to settle near last and will be relying on plenty of lucky breaks. Admittedly, will flash home; however, expect him to leave his run too late.
The Meadows: Race 6; #8 August Bob
August Bob comes to Victoria with a super overall record of 8 wins from 13 starts and his last two wins at Dapto have been in slashing times of 29.61 and 29.66. I would want to see him do this in Victoria and from Box 8 in a near full field in a foreign habitat and kennels I am happy to Lay here. I'm not certain what the long term plans are but this may just be a look at the track for the upcoming Group races over the summer months.
