Just Janet breaks her maiden at Weatherby on Tuesday
Widden Stud's Zoustar (Northern Meteor), who shuttles to Tweenhills Farm in England, sired his first Northern Hemisphere-bred winner on Tuesday when Just Janet (2 f ex Coral Sea by Excelebration) broke her maiden at Weatherby.
Having her third career start having after third on debut in April and then fourth last month, the David O'Meara-trained Just Janet scored a length and a quarter victory in a maiden over 5.5 furlongs.
Just Janet was bought by Jason Kelly Bloodstock for 55,000gns at last year's Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 3 from the draft of Hillwood Stud and is the first foal out of winning Excelebration (Exceed And Excel) mare Coral Sea.
Zoustar stood for a fee of £25,000 at Tweenhills Farm and will stand for a fee of $198,000 (inc GST) at Widden Stud this spring.
