Waikato Stud has announced it's 2022 fees with multiple champion sire Savabeel (Zabeel) standing for a private fee, having stood for NZ$100,000 (plus GST) last year. He will be joined this year by his Group 1 winning son Noverre who will stand his first season at stud for NZ$10,000 (plus GST).

"Australasian racing is the world pinnacle at the moment and we live to be a part of it," said Waikato Stud's Mark Chittick.

"We want what we breed and rear to succeed. We want the breeders that send their mares to our stallions to succeed. We want the trainers that have our progeny to succeed. The last few years, and especially the last 12 months, have been such an exciting and bouyant time for our industry and for all those involved in our Stud.

"Savabeel is a once-in-a-lifetime stallion, while Ocean Park keeps hitting those top marks and Tivaci is following suit with his exciting start at stud.

"And of course the latest highlight has been the arrival of our newest stallion and Savabeel's heir apparent, in Noverre. He's let down beautifully and is a fantastic addition to our roster, which is rounded out by our son of Written Tycoon, Banquo.  We're really looking forward to the coming season."

The fee for Super Seth (Dundeel) remains unchanged at NZ$35,000 (plus GST) for his third season at stud and Ocean Park's (Thorn Park) fee also remains constant at NZ$30,000. Tivaci (High Chaparral) meanwhile has been subject to a fee increase and he will stand for NZ$20,000 (plus GST), up from NZ$12,500 (plus GST) last year.

Ardrossan (Redoute's Choice), whose first crop are yearlings, will stand for NZ$6,000 (plus GST), double what he stood at a year ago. His yearlings have averaged over ten times his service this year in the ring. The roster is completed by Banquo - the first son of Written Tycoon (Iglesia) to stand in New Zealand - who will stand his second season at stud for NZ$4,000 (plus GST).
