What's The Story (Savabeel) will join the Novara Park roster in 2022 and stand alongside Sweynesse (Lonhro), Staphanos (Deep Impact) and King Of Comedy (Kingman).

"Novara are always looking at offering upside and value for money to breeders. Our stallion line-up offers breeders the best bloodlines in the world, while our fees give our clients affordability," Novara Park's Luigi Muollo said.

A son of multiple champion sire Savabeel (Zabeel), What's The Story, originally retired to Norwegian Farm, relocates to Novara Park in 2022 and he will stand for a fee of NZ$4,000 (plus GST).

"His progeny look like Savabeel's progeny. They are doing this all on raw ability and we are looking forward to their three-year-old year," Muollo said.

Sweynesse, who has three crops of racin age, will stand for an unchanged fee of NZ$9,000 (plus GST).

"The most appropriate gauge of a stallion's success is undoubtedly the stakes winners to runners ratio and certainly as a young stallion Sweynesse has outstanding statistics," Muollo said.

"10.3 per cent of Sweynesse's fillies are stakes winners. Only Savabeel is ahead of him in New Zealand."

The first crop of Staphanos were offered at the yearling sales in 2022 and the son of Deep Impact (Sunday Silence) will stand for an unchanged fee of NZ$7,000 (plus GST).

"The first yearlings by Staphanos have been well received by the buyers at Karaka," Muollo said.

"They are balanced, have excellent scope, and importantly they come with that Deep Impact quality. His yearlings that were on display at Karaka will certainly convince breeders to send a mare to him."

The roster is completed by King Of Comedy who will also stand at an unchanged fee of NZ$7,000 (plus GST) this year.

"King Of Comedy has the looks, pedigree and racetrack performance to be a hit at stud. He could be a real game changer and just the type of stallion New Zealand needs," added Muollo.
