Contributer heads roster at $20,000

Mapperley Stud has announced the fees of the three stallions that they will stand this year with the roster headed by Contributer (High Chaparral) who will stand for NZ$20,000 (plus GST), down slightly from NZ$22,000 (inc GST) last year.

The sire of Randwick Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Lion's Roar, Contributer has also produced Lowland Stakes (Gr 2, 2100m) winner Llanacord.

"The way his first crop of three-year-olds performed really put him on the map in Australia, his status among breeders soared and as a result he covered his best book of mares yet, so we are pretty excited about his future," Mapperley Stud principal Simms Davison said.

"He covered a full book of mares in 2021 and it was great to see him back above 80 percent fertility, which is where he was at prior to his injury."

Complacent (Authorized) will stand for an unchanged fee of NZ$4,000 (plus GST) while Puccini's (Encosta De Lago) fee is also unchanged at NZ$3,000 (plus GST).
