Rodney Newell

Rodney has been involved in greyhound racing for over 30 years. He has trained a track record holder in Bluestone Sophie and also had Kamikaze Cowlick make a Group Two Qld futurity final as a hobby trainer - a unique achievement considering he had only been training three years. He has also worked for the National Coursing Association at Wentworth Park for many years overseeing race night operations as well as contributing journalistic pieces for The Greyhound Recorder. His favourite greyhounds have been Highly Blessed, Trojan Tears, Flying Amy, Warren's Flyer and the immortal Brett Lee.
