Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for August 13.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Caulfield, Belmont Park, Eagle Farm and Morphettville.
ROSEHILL: RACE 7 @ 2:55 PM
LOVELY ESTEEM (5) loomed up to win last start but just peaked on her run late. Should be right at her peak fourth up and has drawn to get every hope for McDonald. Got a fair way back last start but is expected to be more prominent this time. Rates top at the weights and is the one to beat. ELUSIVE JEWEL (2) beat the former last start, breaking through for a much deserved win. May have levelled out for this preparation but still shapes as the main danger. SOFFIKA (12) is improving with every run and appears the next in line. While DR EVIL (4) can work his way into exotics.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Lovely Esteem.

CAULFIELD: RACE 2 @ 12:45 PM
Siding with UNUSUAL CULTURE (8) who looks ready to peak third up for the Maher & Eustace stable. Both runs in Australia have been full of merit and she now gets to her preferred distance. She's G3 placed in New Zealand over a mile and made good ground last start. AMERICAIN ANGEL (2) didn't have much luck last start as favourite and draws wide here but is right in this at her best. THALASSOPHILE (3) was strong to the line last time at Moonee Valley after a nice win at Flemington prior. Draws to sit closer and can win. RUSUTSU (7) has run on well for third at her last two starts and is in the mix again.
SELECTIONS: Unusual Culture on top.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 5 @ 2:23 PM
BIG SCREEN (2) is a model of consistency and while no match for the winner last time he fought on well and the form is solid. Will race handy and good chance here. CLASSIC ROGUE (4) broke through with a very strong win over this trip on a heavy track two weeks ago. Up a notch in class but commands some respect. SCORPION STORMZ (6) is down in grade on his last couple and from the inside gate if he can find his best he's a contender. INFLATION (5) and SPEEDY MISS (8) are in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Big Screen to win.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 7 @ 3:07 PM
LEGAL ESPRIT (1) was an impressive fresh winner when running on to score over 2150m at Doomben. He should enjoy the longer trip and has a win and a placing from two runs at this track. Has won two of three second-up attempts so can progress and win again. MAYA BAY (10) had little luck first up but all went to plan last start when scoring by 1.3L at Doomben. That was Kyle Wilson-Taylor's second win on him from three rides and he sticks. Winning chance again. WINSIDE (4) is close to a win after back-to-back placings, one at Listed level. ACROBATIC (3) hasn't been far away at his last few and his course record is strong. SMART IMAGE (5) has a 50 per cent fresh record so should be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Legal Esprit to back up the resuming win.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 9 @ 4:55 PM
GLACIUS (4) looks very hard to beat in the last. He got back from a wide gate last week at Murray Bridge but ran on well for second to the talented Taunting. Drawn better, out to 1100m and at only his third race start, he should be going close. SAVILLE (9) got his maiden out of the way at Balaklava in easy fashion first up and should be able to go on with it now. ULTIMATE VICTORY (8) closed off well in a stronger race second up and looks ready to win third up in a slightly easier contest. SHE'S ESTELLE (14) should be reaching peak fitness third-up and the heavy going is no issue. She can threaten. HELLO LADIES (1) got the job done in easier company last start but comes into calculations with the 2kg claim.
SELECTIONS: Glacius to win.
