The mounted G1 Prix du Président de la République (2850m) is a summer highlight on the trotting calendar crowning the champion four-year-old mounted performer. Hirondelle du Rib posted a kilometre rating record time in this event twelve months ago winning in a 1'12"1. Will it be beaten this year?

India Song

Holds a mixed profile with her last six runs swapping between disqualifications and midfield results. However, this daughter of Django Riff has a promising mounted record of two placings and a win from six outings in this discipline. She ran with credit in the G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 3 - Prix Lavater (2700m) when fifth three weeks ago at Vincennes. Each-way hope.

In Love de Blary

Four-time winner from sixteen career runs and two of those victories have come in her last three outings both among mounted company at Class D and C level at Enghien and Vincennes in April and May respectively. The daughter of Carat Williams was DQ last time at Vichy and now steps up significantly in grade which is the question mark.

Idola Phedo

Both of Idola Phedo's career wins have come in 2021 mounted races. She has been in mixed form so far this year but has been going well recently with two runner-up efforts on her last two starts. This four-year-old by Magnificent Rodney was sixth of nine when last seen at group level, the mounted G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 1 - Prix Rene Palyar (2225m) at Mauquenchy three back in April. Likely to need more if featuring.

Icare des Valois

Lightly raced in mounted company but has taken to it extremely well with one placing and two triumphs from four attempts so far including winning his last two appearances both at Vincennes tackling Class C and D level. This son of Tornado Bello looks progressive and rates an interesting candidate.

Iron Jet

This will be his first mounted run for a year but arrives in good form including a course victory two starts back attempting a Class D autostart. The Charly du Noyer colt produced a fair effort contesting the G2 Prix Jules Thibault (2700m) here two weeks ago when five lengths behind in sixth recording a career best kilometre rating - 1'12 ''1. Worth a second look.

Isla Mujeres

Hard to make a case for this four-year-old filly by Ulysse as she has been unplaced at this course from nine runs, unplaced over this distance from five and unplaced in mounted racing from just two attempts. However, she arrives in fair form with two thirds on her last two outings both, at Vichy, this month including on Monday. Big step up in class is a concern from Class B level.

Intuition

Holds a promising mounted profile of one placing and one win from three outings with an eye-catching six and a half-length success at Vincennes two runs ago in Class B company. Does have some Group racing experience and could be involved.

Illusion Jipad

Proven in mounted Group racing when a good three and a half lengths fourth tackling the G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 2 - Prix H. Balliere (2450m) at Caen last month. Faded quickly to be seventh after setting the pace in the G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 3 - Prix Lavater (2700m) since at this course but can bounce back. Not discounted.

Ines des Rioults

Talented four-year-old filly who found success in the G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 2 - Prix H. Balliere (2450m) at Caen last month two runs back before a strong second contesting the G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 3 - Prix Lavater (2700m) since at this course. This three-time mounted winner makes plenty of appeal.

Inoui Danica

Fairly consistent son of Boccador de Simm who was sixth but not disgraced in the eight runner G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 3 - Prix Lavater (2700m) here three weeks ago. Has previously placed at Group Two level earlier this year and can go close if at best.

Indigo du Poret

Highly consistent son of Dollar Macker who has recorded seven wins from seventeen career outings including the last twice at Group Two level including the G2 Prix Louis Le Bourg (2850m) over course and distance in February and the G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 3 - Prix Lavater (2700m) by more than three lengths on 3 June. This six-time course winner rates the leading contender.

Ideale du Chene

This daughter of Bird Parker enjoys setting the pace and produced a highly impressive victory at the end of last year when taking out the mounted G1 Prix de Vincennes (2700m) by eight lengths six runs ago. As expected, struggled in a driven race last time and a bounce back is highly likely. Big player.

Ici C'Est Paris

Highly talented son of Dollar Macker representing Philippe Allaire who won the G2 Etrier 4 Ans Qualif 1 - Prix Rene Palyar (2225m) at Mauquenchy three outings back. Consistent type who is a six-time winner at Vincennes and eye-catchingly all ten career triumphs have come in mounted events. Include.

Winner - Ideale du Chene

Dark Horse - Icare des Valois
