The G1 Prix Saint-Alary is the only 2000m Group One race globally for the Classic generation that is also considered a key trial for next month's G1 Prix de Diane (2100m) Classic at Chantilly. Twelve fillies have completed the double, the first was La Sega in 1962 and the most recent, Laurens in 2018.

A quality group of fillies have assembled for the Prix Saint-Alary (G1). A case can be made for each runner. Most horses like to race close to the lead with the proven pacesetters being Blue Wings and Queen TrezyAbove the Curve settles at the rear and runs home. In a small field and the roomy Longchamp racetrack this will suit her racing pattern. Two trainers have won the race on multiple occasions. André Fabre is represented with Place du Carrousel and Jean-Claude Rouget has Sippinsoda. A good race in prospect.
