The Singapore Turf Club has granted a short-term visiting jockey’s licence to Australian jockey Blake Shinn for the period from 8 July to 14 August 2022, and a one-day visiting jockey’s licence to Australian jockey Daniel Moor for next Sunday’s meeting on 17 July 2022.
A winner of more than 1,700 races, with 25 at Group 1 level, Shinn has been booked by trainer Jerome Tan to ride Amazing Breeze in the Group 1 Singapore Derby on 17 July.
As Shinn is currently suspended for three race days (10, 13 and 16 July) for careless riding on Nunchuks in Hong Kong, he can only ride in trackwork and barrier trials from 8 to 16 July.
Moor has again been booked on the Tim Fitzsimmons-trained Hero in the Group 1 feature race on 17 July after he rode Hero to eighth in the Group 2 Stewards' Cup on 26 June.

Blake Shinn
Shinn, 34, was first apprenticed to his stepfather and trainer Lee Hope when he began his career in Kilmore, Victoria, in 2003. The gifted rider captured his first Group 1 success with Demerger in the Adelaide Cup when he was still an apprentice jockey.
Shinn left Victoria for Sydney to become Gai Waterhouse's stable jockey and landed the Sydney jockeys' championship title in the 2007/2008 season. He rode in Australia mainly, where he enjoyed the bulk of his Group 1 successes, including the Group 1 Melbourne Cup aboard Viewed for the late trainer Bart Cummings in 2008, TJ Smith Stakes with Melito in 2010, Golden Slipper with Capitalist in 2016, Epsom Handicap with Rock Kingdom in 2009 and Happy Clapper in 2017, Doncaster Mile with Happy Clapper in 2018, Sydney Cup with Who Shot Thebarman in 2018 and the Canterbury Stakes with Trapeze Artist in 2019.
Since 2019, Shinn had been plying his trade in Hong Kong until he decided to call time on his stint in Hong Kong recently. He rode 37 winners this season and ranks eighth on the 2021/2022 Hong Kong jockey's premiership.
All-up, Shinn has ridden 76 winners in Hong Kong. His five Group race successes are the Group 1 Champions and Chater Cup and the Group 1 Citi Hong Kong Gold Cup, both aboard Russian Emperor this year, and the Group 1 Longines Hong Kong Sprint and Group 3 Premier Cup with Sky Field, as well as the Group 1 Hong Kong Classic Mile atop Excellent Proposal in 2021.
Shinn also rode two winners at his one-day visit to Kranji in July 2015 at the Singapore Derby meeting.
Besides Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore, Shinn has also ridden in Dubai, Japan, New Zealand, United Kingdom and USA. He goes to scale at 55 kgs.
