Yes it was hot but everyone managed to cope including the horses.

At Newbury the Geoffrey Freer was no problem for favourite Zechariah who finished 3 ½ lengths in front of Universal Order 13/2 with the Marquand household getting just the quinella place with Outbox running third for Hollie but a bit too distant from Tom on the winner.

Jumby 9/1 won the Hungerford for Eve Johnson-Haughton with William Buick in the irons with Dubai Poet second and just a short head away to Wings of War 22/1.

At the Curragh Luxembourg was the hot favourite in the Royal Whip but just held on to win with Insinuendo only a neck away.  Realism 66/1 was third.
