The G1 was run on Saturday in the presence of spectators!

The public was welcome back to the track to witness one of the marquee events and they were treated to the sight of Lim's Lightning winning in course record time.

Lim's Lightning has given his young trainer Dan Meagher quite a few headaches but they had faith in him and were prepared to be patient and it has paid off.

Stablemate Lim's Kosciuszko was expected to do well but failed to impress.
