The favourite for the Irish Oaks Emily Upjohn was withdrawn from the race due to "travel problems" and that made Magical Lagoon the favourite.  She's looked good winning the Ribblesdale and the daughter of Galileo did not disappoint.  Toy ran a mix better race for second and our roughie Cairde Go Deo helped out with a third place.

Earlier The Anglesey for the 2yos went to the odds-on favourite Little Bear from Yosemite Valley 9/1.  Our roughie Voce di Palio was scratched.

The G2 Sapphire Stakes over 1000m went to the Johnny Murtagh trained Ladies Church 12/1 with Ben Coen in the irons.  Favourite Mooneista was a short head away second and Equilateral ran third.

In The Minstrel Stakes on Sunday Order of Australia was back to his best winning by a soft 2 ½ lengths to Pearls Galore.

The Kilboy Estate Stakes G2 over 1800m saw a disappointing run from favourite Purplepay but we shouldn't be too hard on horses who have had to travel in the heatwave.  Lily Pond didn't have to travel too far and produced a nice win for Aidan and Ryan and may now head to the Prix de l'Opéra on Arc day.  Seisal 8/1 was second and One For Bobby third on 18/1.
