Winning Trainer: Grahame Begg
Change of luck: "The horse has always shown us good ability, his racing pattern early doors came against him quite often, just fell out of the gates, got out of his ground and relying on speed of the race. He's had a couple of rides the last two times where he could've gotten a bit more luck but luck was out of the equation today, three wide, clean air when he wanted to come into the race and he got the job done."
Messy race: "There was a bit of jockeying going on, even around the turn Daily Bugle came out and gave him a little bit of a nudge but he'll take great confidence from that today because he's been a bit maligned for having no luck but he's a good talent and I'm sure a win today will get his confidence levels up and he'll go on with it."
Next run: "The horse will go onto the Silver Bowl Final next week at Flemington, I'm sure he'll be even better suited at Flemington. We've got to get a new rider, Micky Dee's going to New Zealand tomorrow, he'd already booked his trip away so I'm sure we won't have any problems booking a rider for him."
"The horse is going well and we just felt that the month between runs was too long and he needed to have a run the week before on the quick backup."
Winning Jockey: Michael Dee
During the run: "As it turned out today we probably didn't get the best of luck but for this type of horse and the type of horse he is it was right the bad luck."
Up to a mile: "He's been a horse that tends to miss the kick and then overdo it throughout, he seems to be relaxing well, just a few runs now into his prep and the backup next week will be ideal too so the mile should suit."
