Appreciated trip back to Melbourne: "Absolutely. We're certainly benefitting by having slightly drier tracks than what they've been having in Sydney. Chris has been sending a few nice horses down."

Feel you were going to win: "Not really. When I levelled up she didn't flatten out and really let down. I had to regather and rebalance and thankfully she had a real will to win and was able to fight off Jamie's horse and did so very well."

Giving away experience to the field: "She's got natural talent and I think she balanced up when we first turned for home, there was signs of greenness as she is lightly-raced. Most importantly in the run today was we had a bit of cover. That wind is starting to picked up and that helped her in the early stages of the race. From there she took care of the rest."
