By Fastnet Rock out of a group three winning mare is a recipe for success and Passive Aggressive is certainly living up to her pedigree, recording her biggest win to date in three-year-old handicap company.

Ridden by Jordan Childs, Passive Aggressive showed her customary dash to lead the field down the middle of the track, and the result was never in doubt, with the filly going on to win by 1 & ¼ lengths under hands and heels.

Trainer Grahame Begg, who was desperately unlucky with Cardinal Gem earlier in the day, suggested Passive Aggressive is winning on raw talent alone after immaturity stopped her from racing earlier.

"She's got a great action. Her ears are going backwards and forwards, she doesn't know what she is doing yet," Begg said.

She was very immature. She was ready to go last preparation but then we had to pull the pin on her… she just wasn't quite right soundness wise, so we gave her the time."

Begg is keen to test Passive Aggressive at stakes grade, with the Listed Creswick Handicap (1200m) a potential next start in two weeks' time, which would set up a mouth-watering clash between her and Star Patrol who has won three in a row.

"She'll go there and then we'll probably back off her for a bit. I think she deserves a chance to get a bit of Black Type if she's up to it. I think she's certainly up to being a Black Type horse," Begg said.

Jordan Childs has a high opinion of the filly, having ridden her in all three wins.

"Every time you ride her, in a situation like that, she does things so easily. Even today she had her ears pricked most of the way, even when I was riding her out. I don't think we've got to the bottom of her yet and she can keep going through the grades," Childs said.
