Eagle Farm hosts the biggest group race day in Queensland with the Stradbroke Handicap as the highlight.
G1 Stradbroke Hcp (1400m 3yo+ Hcp)
- First Running: 1890 (won by Pyrrhus).
- Multiple Winners: Babel (1895, 1896), Gold Tie (1918, 1919), Highland (1925, 1926), Petrol Lager (1934, 1935), Lucky Ring (1949, 1950), Daybreak Lover (1984, 1986), Rough Habit (1991, 1992), Black Piranha (2009, 2010).
- Other Notable Winners: Wiggle (1958), Persian Lyric (1961), Winfreux (1965), Divide And Rule (1970), Triton (1972), Campaign King (1988), Dane Ripper (1997), Show A Heart (2002), Private Steer (2003), Santa Ana Lane (2018), Trekking (2019), Tofane (2021).
- Mares: Previous mare winner – Tofane (2021).
- 3yo Colts/Geldings: Previous C/G winner – Impending (2017).

- Rough Habit dropped back from the Hollindale in 1991 to win then up in trip to win the Doomben Cup. He followed the same path in 1992 in one of the all-time great rides by Jim Cassidy.
- Doomben 10,000/Stradbroke Handicap double – Campaign King (1988), Spedito (1975), Winfreux (1965), High Rank (1941).
- No horse has done the Moreton Cup/Stradbroke double.
- River Lad is the only horse to do the BRC Sprint/Stradbroke double.
- Only three horses have carried more than 55.5kg to win in the last 40 years – Show A Heart (56kg), Rough Habit (58.5), Campaign King (58.5).
- Darren Beadman did not win a Stradbroke as a rider but in the transition period before James Cummings took over as Godolphin's Head Trainer, he was the official trainer of Impending in 2017. Interestingly he rode both Impending's sire Lonhro and dam Mnemosyne, both to multiple G1 wins.
- Three of the last four winners either ran in or went on to run in The Everest.
- Victorian Trainers have had a great trot in the Stradbroke. Since Mike Moroney won with Mr Baritone in 2008, they have also tasted success with Mid Summer Music, Linton, Srikandi, Under The Louvre, Santa Ana Lane and Tofane.
- Aside from Srikandi and River Lad, the last decade has basically seen the winner settling into the second half of the field.

- Distance: Was between 14f and 16f in the 1800s but then from 1889 went to 3200m basically until the change in 2007 to 2400m. Returned to 3200m in 2021 after the three Doomben runnings at 2200m.
- Doomben Cup/Brisbane Cup double (2) – Scenic Shot (2009), Lord Hybrow (1988).
- Inaugural Australian Racing Hall Of Famer, the legend Tulloch, had his last race start in the Brisbane Cup of 1961, winning it by just under two lengths.
- One of the most famous recent editions of the race saw Viewed salute over 2400m for Bart Cummings and Damien Oliver. Five runs later he would win the Melbourne Cup.
