Canberra trainer Luke Pepper is in his final few weeks being based in the national capital and is looking to go out a winner at the Sapphire Coast on Sunday.

Pepper, who has been in Canberra for around 20 years except for a stint in Moruya, will relocate to Scone at the end of June taking up some 17 stables.

The 41-year-old has some strong winning hopes at the Sapphire Coast headed by debut winner Rebel Dreamer and the consistent The Deepest Secret.

"I will have one more meeting at Canberra in a couple of weeks and a few others, but then I move to Scone," he said.

"It's been a good week winning with I Call Junee Home in Sydney and hopefully there is a winner at the Sapphire Coast.

"My four should all handle the soft track and even though Rebel Dreamer hasn't raced on those types of tracks before she has done plenty of work on wet tracks at Canberra and been fine."

Pepper has prepared over 250 career winners and enjoyed the greatest time of his racing life as the regular track work jockey for the great Takeover Target.

Rebel Dreamer has been ready to race for a few weeks after missing a few potential starts for varying reasons.

She was being aimed at the Wagga Cup carnival five weeks ago and then drew wide and was scratched at another meeting.

The three-year-old was successful at Canberra in August and has trialled since for a second behind All Formidable in late April.

"She has been ready to race for a while and I have always had a good opinion of her – the wet tracks is the only unknown," he said.

"The 1000 metres may be a bit short for her even though she has good speed."

Rebel Dreamer comes up against some promising types including last start winner Game Cove, resuming stablemates Brave Mado and Awesome Audrey and recent winners Lily Elsie, Iconic Dame, I Iz Brilliant, Get Shafted and Hayyu.

Rebel Dreamer will start from a perfect draw in three for Louise Day.

Pepper is hoping The Deepest Secret can break through for him in the Class 2 (1605m) after four starts under his care.

The mare has finished second twice and fourth once in that time with her last start seventh at Goulburn below expectations.

"She got back and they sprinted too fast off a slow speed last time. She needs to jump a bit cleaner to have every hope," he said.

Pepper will also be represented by Arataki which will be having her second start for him and also Black Lavender.

Joseph-Jones racing will have nine starters across the eight races with many of their runners being based at their Sapphire Coast base.

They will also parade several broken-in yearlings prior to the meeting at around 10am.
